The unit that creates a commitment record in AMT is referred to as the Managing Unit (MU) and is responsible for managing the overall commitment record in AMT. 

 

For Commitments to People, e.g. Research funding, the funding recipient's Home department is the Managing Unit. In general, in the case of person commitments it is the funding recipient's Home department.
